Travel del Mundo was started by Elin, originally from Sweden, who moved to La Paz years ago and opened the cafe. Today, she leads a small team of local writers, guides and traveler-friends who vet routes and answer planning questions. We're not a magazine. We're a few people in one city, paying close attention so you don't have to guess.

La Paz isn't a base we picked for the view. It's the most chaotic, beautiful, high-altitude city in South America, and it sits in the middle of every interesting route Uyuni to the south, the Yungas to the north, and Titicaca to the west. Everything we write starts here.

How we make a living.
Travel del Mundo isn't backed by investors or a big travel company. We're a small team based in La Paz, helping travelers discover Bolivia through local knowledge and personal experience.
We earn money through private planning sessions, custom itineraries, our own travel guides, and occasionally a small commission when you book through links we genuinely trust. It never costs you anything extra, and it never changes what we recommend.
If we wouldn't recommend it to a friend visiting us in La Paz, we won't recommend it to you.
What we don't do
