The world's largest salt flat, and the photo that puts Bolivia on most travelers' maps. December–April is mirror season; May–November is white-hexagon season — both are extraordinary, just different.
Most trips are 1, 3, or 4 days. The 3-day route from Uyuni to San Pedro de Atacama is the great one: salt flats on day one, colored lagoons and flamingos on day two, geysers and a Chilean border crossing on day three.
